| Clothing during the 1940's didn't change much from the 1930's. During the Great Depression, clothing was slightly less fitting, but still made to be practical and to save material. During the 1940's, clothing became much more tailored to save fabric. It was considered patriotic to use less cloth, food and energy so that the 'boys overseas' could have more.
